Samuel Smith Beer and Food Pairing

October 7th at the Winking Lizard Party Center we have a special Samuel Smith beer and food pairing dinner. Samuel Smith, (the grandson of the original proprietor of The Old Brewery in Tadcaster, England) will be here to meet guests, enjoy dinner and talk about the storied Samuel Smith brewery. The menu includes a cheese and sausage board with Samuel Smith Imperial Stout, lobster bisque with Taddy Porter, roast beef with Pale Ale, cherry trifle with Organic Cherry Ale and finish the evening with Organic Ale. Only $30.00 per person ($25.00 for 2010 World Tourists). 21 and over please. This event begins at 6:30pm at the Winking Lizard Party Center 25200 Miles Road Bedford Hts.

Lizard Crawl Bus Tour-Independence WLT

Thursday Oct. 21st we're having a bus tour of the area Winking Lizard Taverns. It starts at the Independence Winking Lizard departing at 6:30pm and will travel to Coventry, Gateway, Lakewood and Bedford Hts before returning to our Independence location. One firkin of Thirsty Dog, Great Lakes, Indigo Imp, Buckeye Brewing or Brew Kettle at each stop including appetizers to munch on. $30.00 per person

Everything you ever wanted to know about hops with Stone Brewing Co.'s head brewer Mitch Steele. You'll learn about the history, the life of a hop vine, varieties, characteristics, how it's used in brewing and how important it is to beer. We'll have beers to sample focusing on hop varieties and an appetizer buffet for everyone to enjoy. 21 and over please.
